The Pepperjack Graded McLaren Vale Shiraz was hand crafted to partner with Scotch Fillet as the McLaren Vale region produces Shiraz that is highly concentrated with lots of fruit flavour, as well as a richness to balance the rich flavours of the Scotch Fillet.
Rich and dark red in colour with a dark purple rim, the nose shows a concentrated layer of blue and black fruits, dark chocolate and hints of mocha and savoury oak notes. The palate is rich and plush with an excellent structure. There are concentrated layers of blue and blackberry fruits blended with balanced oak. Fine, velvety tannins give length and power, with a soft and full finish. This wine is matured in a combination of French, American and Hungarian oak barrels for 15 months. It can be enjoyed now but will also improve with careful cellaring.
